Welcome to the Fowey Parish Neighbourhood Plan website

Why do we need a Neighbourhood Plan?

A Neighbourhood Plan is vital for Fowey Parish and Town as there is a chance to create a positive vision for the future of Fowey. The plan will help the community to influence the extent of development within Fowey.

Most importantly this is a plan that will be developed for Fowey by the people of Fowey. The Neighbourhood Plan must reflect the views of the local community and people can have their say by identifying issues, commenting on the draft plan and taking part in a local referendum on the final version of the plan.

Every registered voter in the area can take part in the referendum on the final version of the plan.

This website has been created to provide a portal through which you can keep up to date with the development of the Fowey Parish Neighbourhood Plan. Copies of the plan in its draft forms as it is compiled over the coming months will be available on the website, as will details of key programme deadlines and other important dates.

A Steering Group, composed of a number of Fowey Town Councillors and local volunteers who reside or work in the parish of Fowey, is overseeing the process of developing the Neighbourhood Plan. Information about the Steering Group, its members and terms of reference is available on the website.
